For my second layout I cut the Kaisercraft diecut in two and used one to mat my photo and the other side I fussy cut for the beautiful flowers. To echo the torn strips through the middle of the layout, I added torn strips to the top and bottom as well.
To acheive a two-tone effect with my masking I first applied a thin coat of Shimmerz Texturez in Patina through the Prima Poppies and Peonies 6x6 stencil, then applied Sandy Stone randomly while it was still wet. Once everything dried I partially outlined the masking with a black pen to give it a shadow line to help it stand out.
I couldn't resist fussy cutting this sweet little birdie!
